Her story begins in the early 1980s, when she established her own preschool in the UAE. It was a small beginning, but one shaped by purpose. She was focused on creating an environment where young learners could grow with confidence, curiosity, and care. That early step set the tone for everything that followed in her career.
As her experience grew, she moved into school leadership, taking on the role of Principal within a large school group. During this period, she helped guide the institution through a phase of significant growth, eventually serving a student community of more than 7,000 learners. In the early 2000s, Dr. Mariam shifted her focus to higher education, a space that was rapidly evolving in the UAE. She became involved in the early development of international university campuses in Dubai, contributing to pioneering efforts that brought global institutions into the region. Her work with universities such as the University of New Brunswick, Canadian University of Dubai, Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus, and Amity University Dubai positioned her at the center of institutional growth and transformation.
Her strength lies in building connections. Over the years, she has developed partnerships between institutions across the UAE, Europe, Canada, the United States, China, and Australia. These collaborations have opened doors for students to access global education opportunities while strengthening academic ties between regions.
In 2020, she founded MS Education Consultants, bringing together her decades of experience into a focused advisory platform. The consultancy works across student recruitment, institutional partnerships, education strategy, and new entity development. It also supports universities and organizations in creating meaningful engagement with students through fairs, exchange programs, internships, and cultural initiatives.
What defines her work is not just scale, but consistency. Dr. Mariam has worked closely with students from over 100 nationalities, guiding them through academic decisions and helping them shape their futures with clarity and confidence. Her approach is grounded, personal, and deeply committed to student success.
