Nour Al-Otaibi is a Jordanian writer whose literary journey is deeply rooted in personal experience, resilience, and the transformative power of storytelling. Born in 1983, she has built a meaningful connection with readers through works that explore human emotions, perseverance, and hope. Her ability to translate life experiences into compelling narratives has established her as a distinctive voice in contemporary Arabic literature.
A defining moment in Nour's life became the foundation of her writing career. Following a leg amputation and her journey of adapting to a prosthetic limb, she discovered a new perspective that inspired her to put her thoughts and emotions into words. Rather than allowing circumstances to define her, she embraced writing as a way to express herself and connect with others facing their own challenges.
This experience inspired her first book, Whatever It Takes, which marked the beginning of her literary path. She later expanded her portfolio with I Lost Him Twice, City of Shadows, and A Green Heart. Through each publication, Nour explores themes that resonate with readers on a deeply personal level, offering stories filled with authenticity, reflection, and emotional depth.
For Nour, writing is more than a creative pursuit. It is a form of healing, self-discovery, and empowerment. She believes that when thoughts are poured onto paper, writing becomes a triumph over the self and a powerful tool for growth.
Her work has gained recognition across the Arab world. She has appeared on major media platforms including Al-Nahar TV, Egyptian State Television, and Cairo News Channel. She has also participated in leading international book fairs in Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Jordan. Today, Nour continues her literary journey and is currently working on her fifth novel, a dramatic work that readers eagerly anticipate.
